On Sunday, February 26th at approximately 07:29 hours, West Glens Falls Fire and West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 68 Wisconsin Ave. in Queensbury. Car 210 arrived and confirmed a working structure fire with no entrapment, and requested our automatic structure fire mutual aid plan to the scene. One F.A.S.T. was requested to the scene from Queensbury Central Vol. Fire Company, one engine was requested to the scene from Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, and one rescue was requested to the scene from South Queensbury Fire Department. Additionally, one engine was requested to standby at the West Glens Falls Fire Station #1 from South Glens Falls Fire Company Inc., and Fire Car 4 requested one engine from Lake George Volunteer Fire Dept. to the Bay-Ridge Fire Station. Firefighters extinguished the structure fire and performed extensive overhaul, returning to quarters at approximately 12:30 hours. Thank you to our mutual aid companies and standby crews for assisting us with the alarm, along with repacking hose. The cause of this structure fire is still under investigation at this time.
